‘May Bukas Pa’ Big Bang Finale | February 5 TNS National TV Ratings

After a year of consistent high ratings, May Bukas Pa finally ends last friday, and it ends with a bang! The star studded finale registered a whopping 47.3% TV rating, finishing no. 1 in the primetime race, beating its rival show Darna which was able to get 22.6% falling down to no. 9 spot.
Other shows like Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo finishes second with 35.9%. While TV Patrol World grab the no. 3 spot with 34.6%.

‘Habang May Buhay’ Loses First Fight with ‘Full House’ by an Whisker | January 29-February 1 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Habang May Buhay’s pilot episode lost to Full House by a hairbreadth of an inch. Judy Ann Santos’ primetime comeback project scored 28%, just a bit short to beating Full House 28.1%.
Calling it a failure would be premature, though, because the Juday, the face of 60th year of soap opera, has not appeared in the teleserye yet. We’ll see what’s gonna happen next.

‘Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita’ Gets Cruel to ‘Magkano ang Iyong Dangal’ on First Day | January 21-25 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

The battle of the newbies has started last Monday when two newcomers Bangs Garcia and Jennica Garcia took on the lead role in their respective afternoon soap operas. Bangs topbills Magkano ang Iyong Dangal, directed by Chito Rono while Jennica leads the cast of Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? which also stars her real-life mother Jean Garcia.

‘Magkano ang Iyong Dangal’ Makes an ‘Honorable’ Debut | January 25 TNS National TV Ratings

Magkano ang Iyong Dangal made an impressive debut yesterday, landing on the no. 2 spot with an impressive TV rating of 18.2%. This made Showtime move down to no. 3 with 17.4% rating.
On its final week, PHR: My Cheating Heart is consistently in the Top 5, ranking fourth with 16.6%.
In the primetime race, May Bukas Pa, nearing its finale, continuously dominated the race, holding the no. 1 spot with 38.8% rating while Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo won’t budge in the no. 2 spot with 36.1%.

The Last Prince-Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo Clash Tightens | January 19-20 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

The clash between Kapuso fantasy series The Last Prince and newly launched Kapamilya drama Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo gets more and more exciting as their ratings went see-saw last Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19-20, 2009 based on AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila survey.
The Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson-starrer ruled by a mile on its debut night but the fun was spoiled the next day when The Last Prince, topbilled Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica, stole the lead. The Last Prince scored 34.1% last Tuesday, 2 points higher than Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’s 32.1%.

‘Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’ Sustains Impressive Debut | January 21 TNS National TV Ratings

Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’s impressive debut kept its momentum and continuously registers impressive ratings, positioning at the no. 3 spot with 37.3%. Fellow new comer Tanging Yaman secured the no. 5 with 30.8%, keeping the Kapuso shows outside the Top 5.
Darna is the highest primetime rating show of the Kapuso network, registering 28.5%, sitting on the no. 6 spot.

‘Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’ Starts, ‘Dahil May Isang Ikaw’ Closes Both on Top 2 | January 15-18 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Dahil May Isang Ikaw ended last Friday with a silver trophy but Kapamilya fans would be glad to hear that what got the now defunct drama beat was another teleserye, the inspirational drama May Bukas Pa. The Santino-led teleserye scored 34.2% while Dahil May Isang Ikaw 33.9%.

‘Magpasikat’ Triumphs Despite ‘Showtime’ Controversies | January 11-12 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Showtime had been suspended for 20 days by MTRCB but its replacement Magpasikat managed to keep the momentum with its first episode last Tuesday, January 11, 2009 based on AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila ratings.

‘Tanging Yaman’ and ‘The Last Prince’ Stay Strong | January 12 TNS National TV Ratings

Showtime replacement Magpasikat proves to be successful on its debut day. The new program landed on the no. 2 spot with 21.5% and was able to overtake Nagsimula sa Puso which was able to register a 20.1% TV ratings, enough to secure the no. 3 spot.
