ABS-CBN No. 1 in Metro Manila
Many couch potatoes have the impression that GMA7 is the leader in Metro Manila ratings. Given the Mega Manila figures, many make the assumption that the Kapuso Network dominates the country’s capital. However, when we break down the ratings, it is not the case.
Mega Manila is composed of two regions — Metro Manila and the Suburbs. The Suburbs – the suburban zone – is the area surrounding Metro Manila, with a significant population size (households). It includes some parts of Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna, and a few others.
In recent history, although GMA7 has been ruling the Mega Manila ratings consistently, it is the Kapamilya Network that has been the number 1 TV station in Metro Manila. The Suburbs remain a Kapuso territory by a mile. When the Metro and Suburbs figures are consolidated for Mega Manila, GMA 7 emerges to be the region’s top channel.
Take for example, the Wednesday (June 03) primetime ratings by TNS Mega Manila:

mas naniniwala ako sa ratings ng TNS, I BLIEVED GANUNDIN ANG MGA ADVERTISERS, kasi halos lahat talaga ng commercials ngayon puro kapamilya talents. eh kasi naman halos lahat ng tao ngayon even in our office here in ortigas, usapusapan si jr and audrey,santino,jillian and boys over flowers..maski yung mga katabi ko sa mrt, sa jeep na mga students ganon din…
para kasing iba yung lumalabas sa survey ng agb, hindi tugma sa usap-usapan ng mga tao..
i blieved in time, mas dadami pa clients ng TNS OVER AGB.

kakatawa nga ang GMA na nag cli-claim na number 1 sila! sa panaginip siguro! kahit saan sulok ng mundo kung saan may Filipino puro shows ng ABS-CBN ang pinag-uusapan at sa totoo lang hinde talaga kilala ang mga artista nila. Sa ABS lahat ng movies nila blockbusters..

obvious naman, na no.1 ang kapamilya. look everywhere and you will see. kapamilya rules. ilan na bbang shoes ang pinataob ng tayong dalawa sa seven? hehehe. alam yan ng channel seven, who would thought yung show ni marian rivera na ang babaeng hinugot sa tadyang eh mas mauuna pang natapos sa tayong dalawa? same thing with all about eve. try to annalyze naman.

try to watch any gma show pag commercial na puro kapamilya stars ang feeling mo tloy nasa cannel 2 ka hehehe, utang na loob gumising na sila sa kanilang kasinungalingan….

oo nga.. Halos lahat ng commercial models galing sa 2.. Yung mga pinagmamayabang na artista ng siyete, karamihan galing sa DOS. yung mga di na-hone ang talents sa siyete, pinasikat ng DOS. Yung mga sikat sa DOS tapos lumipat sa siyete, nalaos? Ano kayang mangyayari kay Claudine? Well goodluck. I hope she made the right decision, though it was so abrupt and uncarefully thought over..
