‘The Wedding’ Charms National Ratings
ABS-CBN’s newest addition to PrimeTime Bida The Wedding won over the nation as the romantic comedy series entered the Top 10 Primetime shows for June 29, 2009, Monday.
The Wedding ranked 9th with 22%. Although it defeated Cruel Love, it is still low in terms of debut ratings. This may be caused by it’s late night schedule. The timeslot has always been said as “jinxed” because Kapamilya shows in this timeslot rarely fly or at least beat the competition.
All My Life, which also premiered last Monday, did not affect Boys Over Flowers. All My Life fails to break through to the top 10 while Boys Over Flowers remain at comfortable fifth spot. All My Life is the primetime debut of Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal, who had been reigning in the daytime arena when Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin was still airing.
