Just when you thought ABS-CBN was lying low again in Mega Manila, its teleseryes made shocking records as May Bukas Pa and Tayong Dalawa took the lead last Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

Actually, it’s not surprising for Tayong Dalawa, since it’s been a consistent ruler in its time slot. But May Bukas Pa was quite a shock although it’s not really the first time. Santino and the gang topped the Mega Manila ratings on June 12 this year.  Maricar Reyes made a guest appearance on Thursday so she can’t take credit for it. The “Wednesday high” was hard to grasp. Go figure. The Kapamilya fans out there are surely rejoicing, thanking Bro for another success.

Other highlight-worthy points:

• Only You also beat Totoy Bato the day before its finale.
• Zorro, which used to be number 1, crumbles to number 6 last Tuesday.
• Boys Over Flowers bloomed into the top 10 last Wednesday.

It has been reported that Kambal sa Uma was the new leader in national daytime ratings according to TNS. Now, AGB Nielsen’s primetime report indicates Kapamilya soap operas leading Mega Manila just as well the past few days.

The question is: Will ABS-CBN maintain its figures given that Rosalinda and Darna are just about to strike? What do you think?
