‘Diva’ Gets Upstaged on First Night | February 26-March 1 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

GMA7’s newest primetime offering Diva may have all the glamor in its concept but it was not enough to beat competition as both Habang May Buhay and Rubi upstaged the Regine Velasquez-starrer. Diva scored 24.6% while the Judy Ann Santos-led teleserye 27.9% and the Angelica Panganiban drama 24.9%.

‘Agua Bendita’ Conquers Mega Manila | February 23-25 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Pressure rises for newcomer Andi Eigenmann as her first teleserye Agua Bendita continues to soar even before she could enter the picture. In fact, Agua Bendita has been the consistent leader in TNS nationwide survey. Now, the inspirational drama conquers AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila as it registered 34.3% on Thursday, February 25, while rival Panday Kids, 33.2%.

‘Agua Bendita’ Remains Unstoppable | February 26 TNS National TV Ratings

Daytime programming got more exciting as 3 of the Top 10 shows battle it out for daytime supremacy. Wowowee managed to get the number 1 spot and registered 24.1%, while Showtime faltered to no. 2 with a rating of 21.8%. The no. 3 position is now being occupied by the Kapuso show Eat Bulaga. The longest running noontime show was able to score a 15.4%, overtaking the new show by the Kapamilya network Melason in Love.

‘Panday Kids’ and ‘Melason in Love’ Strong Debut | February 22 TNS National TV Ratings

Two new shows successfully debuted last Monday, one in daytime and one in primetime programming. First is Melason in Love which was able to debut with 18.1% TV rating, landing in the no. 3 spot. Is it a sign of continuous success in the outside world after attaining popularity from the recently concluded PBB Double Up? ‘Agua Bendita’ Makes Waves; ‘Diz Iz It’ Sinks Deeper | February 10-11 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Agua Bendita made a big splash on its first week with its Thursday episode even dominating its timeslot. No other primetime series from ABS-CBN had topped timeslot rankings on its debut week — not May Bukas Pa, not Tayong Dalawa. Agua Bendita swam to the top on Thursday with 32.3% while Darna, nearing its finale, only registered 31.5%.
Meanwhile, Diz Iz It’s performance in the ratings game continues to disappoint many Kapuso. Diz Iz It sank deeper even before it could surface. Diz Iz It scored 8.2% while Showtime 18.5%.

‘May Bukas Pa’ Big Bang Finale | February 5 TNS National TV Ratings

After a year of consistent high ratings, May Bukas Pa finally ended last friday, and it did with a bang! The star studded finale registered a whopping 47.3% TV rating, finishing at no. 1 in the primetime race, beating its rival show Darna which was able to get 22.6% falling down to no. 9 spot.
Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo finished second with 35.9% while TV Patrol World grabbed the no. 3 spot with 34.6%.

‘Habang May Buhay’ Loses First Fight with ‘Full House’ by an Whisker | January 29-February 1 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

Habang May Buhay’s pilot episode lost to Full House by a hairbreadth of an inch. Judy Ann Santos’ primetime comeback project scored 28%, just a bit short to beating Full House 28.1%.
Calling it a failure would be premature, though, because the Juday, the face of 60th year of soap opera, has not appeared in the teleserye yet. We’ll see what’s gonna happen next.

‘Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita’ Gets Cruel to ‘Magkano ang Iyong Dangal’ on First Day | January 21-25 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

The battle of the newbies has started last Monday when two newcomers Bangs Garcia and Jennica Garcia took on the lead role in their respective afternoon soap operas. Bangs topbills Magkano ang Iyong Dangal, directed by Chito Rono while Jennica leads the cast of Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? which also stars her real-life mother Jean Garcia.
Magkano ang Iyong Dangal scored in TNS national survey but Ina Kasusuklaman Ba Kita clearly emerged victorious in AGB-Nielsen’s Mega Manila research. The Kapuso series ranked second with 17.9% while its Kapamilya rival barely made …

‘Magkano ang Iyong Dangal’ Makes an ‘Honorable’ Debut | January 25 TNS National TV Ratings

Magkano ang Iyong Dangal made an impressive debut yesterday, landing on the no. 2 spot with an impressive TV rating of 18.2%. This made Showtime move down to no. 3 with 17.4% rating.
On its final week, PHR: My Cheating Heart is consistently in the Top 5, ranking fourth with 16.6%.
In the primetime race, May Bukas Pa, nearing its finale, continuously dominated the race, holding the no. 1 spot with 38.8% rating while Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo won’t budge in the no. 2 spot with 36.1%.

The Last Prince-Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo Clash Tightens | January 19-20 AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings

The clash between Kapuso fantasy series The Last Prince and newly launched Kapamilya drama Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo gets more and more exciting as their ratings went see-saw last Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19-20, 2009 based on AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila survey.
The Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson-starrer ruled by a mile on its debut night but the fun was spoiled the next day when The Last Prince, topbilled Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica, stole the lead. The Last Prince scored 34.1% last Tuesday, 2 points higher than Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’s 32.1%.
