It seems like Eva Fonda is back! Christine Reyes’s first topbilled teleserye on ABS-CBN Eva Fonda was a surprise hit a few years back. Now she’s back in a new drama series called Kristine, based on the best-selling pocket novel series from Precious Hearts Romances. Kristine seems to be pulling off an Eva Fonda 2.0 with its pilot episode generating an 8.8 rating against East of Eden‘s 6.6%.

Meanwhile, the recent change in time slots in ABS-CBN did not affect Eat Bulaga‘s supremacy.

Kapamilya teleserye Noah posted a resounding 15.2% rating with its pilot episode on Monday, July 12, 2010 according to AGB Mega Manila People’s survey. This put Noah, starring Piolo Pascual, Kristine Hermosa and Zaijan Jaranilla, the second most-watched TV show that day, just behind the usual topper Agua Bendita, another ABS-CBN teleserye starring Andi Eigenmann. Rival shows from the GMA7 network Pilyang Kerubin and Endless Love scored 14.2% and 14% respectively.

Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo said goodbye last Friday on top as the Kapamilya teleserye’s final episode registered 14.5% on July 9, 2010. But Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes was able to put up a good fight with Endless Love scoring 0.1 less with 14.4%.

Maalaala Mo Kaya continues to dominate its timeslot with its recent episode scoring 8.9% while rival Claudine 7.3%.

The battle for daytime and primetime supremacy is getting stiffer as both the kapamilya and the kapuso networks are battling out to gain audience approval through the game named TV ratings. In the daytime race, Showtime continuously held the no. 1 position with 15.9% from its fellow Kapamilya show Wowowee which still at the no. 2 spot with 14.9% TV ratings. Meanwhile at the no. 3 spot, the Kapuso show Basahang Ginto posted a threat with a 14.1% TV rating pulling down Rosalka to no. 4 spot with 13.2%.

In the Primetime race Agua Bendita managed to hold on to the no. 1 throne with 41.9% rating, but facing a threat from its fellow Kapamilya show Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo with 39.6% on the no.2 spot. TV Patrol on the other hand was still on the no. 3 spot with 32.8% followed by Magkaribal at the no. 4 place with 28.5% and Endless Love at the no. 5 position with 24.3%.

Two primetime shows from the two giant TV networks, GMA-7 and ABS-CBN, debuted this week. The Kapuso network unleashed the much awaited Filipino remake of South Korea’s Endless Love (Autumn in my Heart) which stars the tandem of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. The new show entered the chart on the no. 5 spot with a TV rating of 22.9%, while the Kapamilya network countered it with Magkaribal, the much anticipated drama series of Bea Alonzo and Gretchen Barretto. Magkaribal scored 25.3% rating and beat Endless Love, sitting pretty at the no. 4 spot.

Meanwhile in the daytime programming, Showtime managed to steal the lead from Wowowee with its 16.1% TV Rating, pushing Wowowee to the no. 2 spot with 15.2%. While its rival Eat Bulaga from the Kapuso network managed to rally back to the no. 3 spot with 13.4%, followed by Rosalka at number 4 with 12.2%, and Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto at number 5 with 12.1%.

Wowowee finally regained its force, climbing up to the no. 1 spot, dethroning its fellow kapamilya show Showtime. Wowowee posted a 16.2% TV rating, enough to secure the top spot away from Precious Hearts Romances: Impostor with 15.9% rating (no. 2 spot) and Showtime and Rosalka with both shows getting 14.2%. Other daytime shows like Langit sa Piling Mo from the Kapuso fences settled for the no. 4 spot with 13.9%. Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto and Gumapang ka sa Lusak got 11.1% and 11% respectively.

On the primetime arena Agua Bendita remains the most watched primetime show in the country with 39.5% rating, followed by the consistent no. 2 show Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo with 34.7%. TV Patrol World is in the third spot with  31.6%. Momay on the other hand outplayed Pilyang Kerubin and took over the no. 6 position with 22.8% while Pilyang Kerubin settled for the no. 7 spot with 22.6%.
