Darna is still immovable from the 40s level while others barely transcend the 30s mark, making the Pinay superheroine the most watched character on Philippine TV today.
Meanwhile, Dahil May Isang Ikaw was quick to bounce back. The powerhouse teleserye registered its highest rating with its fourth episode, posting a rating of 30.9%. Rival show Adik Sa ‘Yo was 1.1% short to topple the Kapamilya program.

Kapuso romantic comedy Adik Sa ‘Yo finally inched out Kapamilya newcomer Dahil May Isang Ikaw by 0.5%. Dahil May Isang Ikaw posted 26.9% while the Jolina-Marvin starrer scored 27.4%. It seems like the Kristine-Jericho comeback project has not picked up yet. The question is, will it?
Darna seems to be on a different league. Darna is on a safe 40% level. 24 Oras follows with 33.4%. Those were the only shows who managed to hit beyond the 30% mark. Tayong Dalawa almost made it with 29.8%, closing the top 3.

On its second day, Dahil May Isang Ikaw saw no change in their ratings. Like yesterday, the powerhouse drama registered 28.8%, beating its Kapuso rival Adik Sa ‘Yo by half a point.
Meanwhile, Darna is still the ruling force in the ratings game, scoring 41.6%. However, it seems like Santino is regaining its strength gradually. May Bukas Pa hit 29%, a big jump from its 25.8% yesterday. Is May Bukas Pa slowly gaining back its lost audiences?

Although Darna dropped a bit in the ratings game last Friday, the Marian Rivera-starrer remained the most popular television program last Friday, August 20, 2009 based on the figures released by AGB-Nielsen Media Research.
The Pinay superheroine lost almost 5 points that day with 39.4% but still miles away from phenomenal inspirational soap opera May Bukas Pa which only managed to collect 26.3%.
Tayong Dalawa was at a far second with 32.8%, defeating romantic comedy Adik Sa ‘Yo.

TV5’s unwavering effort to penetrate the ratings game finally pays off. Reality show Talentadong Pinoy, hosted by Kapamilya star Ryan Agoncillo, once again overtook all ABS-CBN and GMA7 shows as it reached the top of the most watched list last weekend, based on the figures released by AGB-Nielsen Media Research. Talentadong Pinoy registered 30.3%, a remarkable number in TV5 standards, putting the network back on the map of top-rating networks.
Talentadong Pinoy murdered two giant TV programs — Maalaala Mo Kaya and Bitoy’s Funiest Videos, which posted 15.2% and 21.4% respectively.

Survivor Philippines Season 2 failed to survive the first day of battle against Kapamilya shows, many of which managed to earn a 30+ in the tv ratings game. Survivor debuted with a weak rating of 20.1%, way behind The Wedding with a 2.6% edge over the new Kapuso reality program.
Tayong Dalawa was the greatest gainer of all the primetime shows, posting a 37.9% rating. Adik Sa ‘Yo, which managed to register only 20.5%, took a hard punch against Tayong Dalawa, losing the battle for its primetime slot dominance.

The release of TV ratings for yesterday, August 10, 2009, had been incredibly quick and early because of the public’s anticipation of how awesome or how awful Darna performed. And to all Kapusos’ satisfaction, it was awesome. Darna indeed soared in its first night of airing. (We can now imagine Wilma Galvante laughing out loud.)

Boys Over Flowers is back in the 30 plus ratings ground. The koreanovela steadily keeps blooming and spreading charm when it hit 30.5% last Thursday and sitting unthreatened in the no. 5 spot. Meanwhile TV Patrol World still occupied the no. 2 position with a 38.1% rating pushing back Only You in the no. 3 spot with a rating of 36.8%.
Adik Sa ‘Yo was the only primetime program that never hit the 20 plus rating. Adik Sa ‘Yo only registered a 18.1% rating, compared to other programs with ratings 21% up.

If you look at ABS-CBN’s ratings last Monday, you could think that the Kapamilya Network’s power begins to dawn on Mega Manila again. ABS-CBN Primetime Bida hit its highest since the Angel Locsin’s Darna triggered GMA7’s reign in the first half of this decade.
May Bukas Pa scored a whopping 36%, beating all hell out of Zorro with 28.7%.
Tayong Dalawa came in at no.2 with 34.4% putting Adik Sa ‘Yo to shame, which only managed to reach 23.1%.
Only You, garnering 33.2 %, seemed determined to embarrass Rosalinda with only 23.5%.
