George and Cecil just got themselves tough enemies in the person of Manny Santos and Ella Paredes from GMA7′s newest comedy Show Me Da Manny. Starring Marian Rivera and People’s Champ Manny ‘Pacman” Pacquiao, the show’ is a complete success in Mega Manila as its pilot episode knocked out ABS-CBN’s George and Cecil, topbilled by real-life couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.

But George and Cecil wasn’t the only Kapamilya show which got a beating from the Kapuso network last weekend. Another program that debuted last Sunday was Your Song Presents: Babalik Kang Muli, featuring controversial star Cristine Reyes and veteran actress Jaclyn Jose. The weekly mini-series posted a modest 11.7%, a few points below Dear Friend.

The day before, longest-running variety show Eat Bulaga posted a staggering 31.6%, an accomplishment for a noontime program.

It was an unfortunate day for Kapamilyas. If it weren’t for Banana Split, the Kapuso Network would’ve swept the entire Saturday game. Banana Split recorded 14.4%, almost 4% higher than Cool Center.

Marian Rivera failed to retain her crown as The Philippines Sexiest Woman in the yearly coveted FHM Sexiest Women. Marian Rivera settled in for the 2nd Spot with 282,300 votes. Cristine Reyes grabbed the crown with 382,819 votes, a 100,000 votes lead for the Eva Fonda star. Angel Locsin came in at no. 3 with 266,233 votes, Katrina Halili is at no. 4 with 238,558 votes and Iwa Moto is sizzling in the no. 5 spot.
