Mega Manila still remains under Kapuso rule as GMA7 wins most battles against ABS-CBN among the capital’s households. Darna remains the most watched primetime weekday program.

However, a few noteworthy Kapamilya wins must be mentioned including Katorse beating the newly launched Ikaw Sana starring Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras. Ikaw Sana fell 6% short to beating the Erich Gonzales launching project on Monday, September 22, 2009.

Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Ang Lalaking Nagmahal sa Akin (13.7%), topbilled by Toni Gonzaga and Derek Ramsay, also pulled off a rare victory over game show Hole in the Wall (11%).

Th Mayweather vs Marquez boxing showdown also knocked out its Kapuso rival, Ikaw Pa Rin.

Nevertheless, despite these triumphs, The Kapamilya Network still has a long way to go before finally reclaiming Mega Manila. For now, Mega Manila remains a Kapuso territory.

Santino and the rest of the cast of May Bukas Pa should be praying right now. May Bukas Pa once again succumbed to Zorro’s powers. ABS-CBN’s inspirational drama was inched out by 0.6% by the Richard Gutierrez starrer.

But the Kapamilya fans should not worry because the top spot remained in Tayong Dalawa‘s hands. The heavy drama starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson was the only program that was able to go beyond 30% last Thursday. Boys Over Flowers also rated better than All My Life.

ABS-CBN Primetime Bida almost swept Wednesday ratings game with May Bukas Pa (33.6%) rejoicing on top. The inspirational drama inched out the Richard Gutierrez-starrer Zorro by more than 3%. Tayong Dalawa came in at 2nd with 32.2%. Only You, which nears its ending, settles at the third spot with 30.9%.

The drama triumvirate of the Kapamilya network (May Bukas Pa, Only You, and Tayong Dalawa) have been making waves in the ratings game the past several weeks. Before this month, Kapamilya programs occupying the top 3 had not happened in years, since the glory of Mulawin, Darna and Encantadia.

But its not just the drama programs. Romantic comedy shows Boys Over Flowers and The Wedding also won their respective battles. Even consistent loser TV Patrol World had a rare chance of beating 24 Oras last Wednesday by almost 2%.

What got in the way was Showbiz News Ngayon‘s defeat. OC to the Max outperformed SNN by less than 1%. It could have been a sweep if not for that.

But the daytime block remained a Kapuso territory. GMA7 almost swept the daytime game, too. Hole in the Wall spoiled Love or Bread with a 6.4% lead. Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin also made Maria de Jesus praying for dear life. The sine novela posted a rating that was more than double that of the Latin series’. Sis trampled on Ruffa and Ai, too.

What curdled Kapuso’s almost perfect game in daytime was Edu Manzano’s Game KNB? which edged out La Lola by almost 1%.

Competition just got stiffer as TV5 enters the picture. The crown for the leading reality game show was won by Talentadong Pinoy (hosted by Ryan Agoncillo) which scored 20% defeating GMA7′s Are You the Next Big Star (17.4%) and ABS-CBN2′s The Singing Bee (19.1%) last Saturday, June 26, based on AGB Nielsen Philippines.

This was just one of the many shows from TV5 that edged out the two giant networks last Saturday. Other highlights include:

• Maalaala Mo Kaya taking a beating from Midnight DJ
  
• Spongebob Squarepants scaring Hana Kimi Crazy in Love and Team Galaxy away

On Monday, The Wedding premiere episode posted 21.1%, taking all the love from Koreanovela Cruel Love. This is similar to what TNS National Ratings released.

However, AGB Nielsen has a different story when it comes to All My Life which debuted on the same day. All My Life failed to outshine Boys Over Flowers in TNS National Ratings but was way ahead in AGB Nielsen Mega Manila.

Kambal sa Uma took away the No. 1 spot from Wowowee in the National TV ratings conducted by TNS last June 23 to 25. Kambal sa Uma eventually took over the top spot last June 24, but Wowowee was able to grab the top spot on June 23 and 25.

In the Prime time race May Bukas Pa continued to dominate the National Ratings game, posting a 41% ratings followed by Only You, Tayong Dalawa, TV Patrol World, and Boys Over Flowers.

Here are the latest AGB Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings for June 23-25. Eat Bulaga catapulted to the No. 1 spot again in the daytime race, Eat Bulaga posted a 26% ratings, followed by three kapuso afternoon dramas:  Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin, Ngayon at Kailanman, and Daisy Siete.

Zorro and 24 Oras fight for the top spot in the primetime race. Zorro ruled the primetime race on June 23 and 24 while 24 Oras took the spot on June 25. Other 3 Kapamilya prime time bida shows are all in the remaining top 5 slots.

Sine Novela Presents: Gilda Olvidado’s Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? wins over the country as it finally tops the National Daytime Program Rankings on June 19, Friday, according to TNS Philippines Television Audience Measurement.

Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin overthrows Wowowee, which had been ruling the daytime ratings for the longest time. Jim Hernandez’s Kambal Sa Uma completes the top 3.

Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin stars phenomenal Kapuso loveteam Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica.

On its third day, Taiwanese romantic comedy Love or Bread continues to push Korean series rerun My Name is Kim Sam Soon to shame, although the gap is narrowed down to only 0.1%, based on Mega Manila ratings by AGB Nielsen Media Research.

According to TNS Media Research Philippines, Love or Bread debuted on Monday with 16.5% in the national ratings and 13.8%  in Mega Manila, better than 9.0% that Kim Sam Soon garnered both in Mega Manila and nationwide ratings.

Love or Bread replaced Hot Shot featuring Asian superstars Wu Chun, Jerry Yan and Show Luo. It stars Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin, the same Taiwanese loveteam who led the cast of It Started with a Kiss (2005) and They Kiss Again (2007).

Jan Di, Jun Pyo, Ji Hoo and all the fans should be celebrating now as Boys Over Flowers steps up, reaching the 30s level this week based on nationwide ratings released by TNS Philippine Television Audience Measurement.

Boys Over Flowers scores 31.1% on Tuesday and 30.3 on Monday this week, putting them at the comfortable fifth spot on the daily program rankings. The Korean romantic series usually garners 28% but the trend shows an upward movement as the Kapamilya koreanovela’s plot thickens.

May Bukas Pa remains Philippine television’s leader nationwide, followed by Only You, TV Patrol World, and Tayong Dalawa.

After succeeding blows from ABS-CBN Primetime Bida, GMA Telebabad finally gets back on track based on Mega Manila survey by AGB Nielsen Media Research, June 16, Tuesday.

Richard Gutierrez’s Zorro gives Santino of May Bukas Pa a good scare with a 7.1% lead. Totoy Bato is back on the 30s lane with 30.8, beating Only You, bannering Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby. Hole in the Wall edges out Boys Over Flowers by 0.2%. One Liter of Tears scores twice higher than game show Pinoy Bingo Night.

But the Kapuso Network fails to sweep the primetime block as Kapamilya drama Tayong Dalawa stands still and strong, maintaining a good gap from Adik Sa ‘Yo. Tayong Dalawa stars love triangle Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca.
