There are no movements in the Daytime and Primetime TV Ratings for July 28, 2009 Tuesday. The Top 3 spots for the Daytime Ratings were occupied by 3 Kapamilya shows: Wowowee (24.4%), Kambal sa Uma (22%) and Precious Hearts Romances (17.1%). While Eat Bulaga was in tight grip of the no. 4 spot with a rating of 16.5%, the no. 5 spot was taken over by Maria De Jesus Ang Anghel sa Lansangan posting a 15.1% tv rating.

GMA-7 (Kapuso) shows won’t give up the fight for Primetime Supremacy just like that. Two of the Kapuso shows managed to grab the top 2 positions in the Mega Manila Ratings list for July 27, 2009. 24 Oras was able to hold on the no. 1 spot with a rating of 34.5% compared to its Kapamilya rival show TV Patrol World getting only a 28.8% rating. While Zorro got a share of 33.7% and was able to topple down May Bukas Pa with a 32.8% rating.

For the second time this month, ABS-CBN’s primetime drama teleseryes hit 30s. Last Thursday, July 23, 2009, May Bukas Pa topped the Mega Manila ratings based on AGB-Nielsen Media Research. Santino and the rest of the cast managed to push the show to reach 32.8%. Tayong Dalawa grabbed the silver trophy with 32.6%. Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby completed the top three with Only You, which registered 31.2%.
Romantic comedies Boys Over Flowers and The Wedding edged out respective competition.

Rosalinda is up a notch with a 23.1% TV rating. From no. 8 it moved up to no. 7 position and now trailing behind Zorro with 24.2%, steady at no. 6 spot.
Boys Over Flowers managed to stay put at the fifth spot although its rating dipped to 25.9%. For the past few weeks Boys Over Flowers was a consistent 30% up ratings until Wednesday when it suddenly dropped.

ABS-CBN is unstoppable in dominating the national ratings game. Seven in the top 10 daytime programs are all Kapamilya shows led by Wowowee, Kambal sa Uma and Precious Hearts Romances. Other Kapamilya shows include Mr. Bean, Naruto Shipuuden and Love or Bread.
The three Kapuso shows that made it to the top 10 are sinenovelas Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin at no. 4 and Ngayon at Kailanman at no. 9. Variety show Eat Bulaga is at no. 5.

Spring is long over but Mega Manila ratings of Boys Over Flowers and Rosalinda seem to have blossomed last Wednesday, July 8, 2009 based on AGB Nielsen.
Boys Over Flowers reclaimed its time slot from All My Life. The Tagalized Korean series registered a 19.3% rating, almost 2% higher than the Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal starrer. Hmmm. These two shows seem to be on a seesaw in terms of Mega Manila ratings. Which show do you watch?

After the release of Rosalinda’s pilot episode’s embarrassing national ratings (23.1%) yesterday, many people waited for the Mega Manila figures. However, Rosalinda is not able to win Mega Manila, either, based on AGB Nielsen. Mega Manila has been a Kapuso territory for the longest time.
Topbilled by new GMA star Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann, Rosalinda fails to meet many people’s expections as it posted 26.3% on its first night, placing it on the sixth spot, behind ABS-CBN’s Only You starring former Kapuso superstar Angel Locsin.

Just when you thought ABS-CBN was lying low again in Mega Manila, its teleseryes made shocking records as May Bukas Pa and Tayong Dalawa took the lead last Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Actually, it’s not surprising for Tayong Dalawa, since it’s been a consistent ruler in its time slot. But May Bukas Pa was quite a shock although it’s not really the first time. Competition just got stiffer as TV5 enters the picture. The crown for the leading reality game show was won by Talentadong Pinoy (hosted by Ryan Agoncillo) which scored 20% defeating GMA7’s Are You the Next Big Star (17.4%) and ABS-CBN2’s The Singing Bee (19.1%) last Saturday, June 26, based on AGB Nielsen Philippines.
This was just one of the many shows from TV5 that edged out the two giant networks last Saturday. Other highlights include:
