The local cinema, like always, got a beating from Hollywood blockbusters in August 19-23, 2009 based on Box Office Mojo Philippines. Pixar’s newest animated flick Up emerged the most successful over that weekend collecting more than PhP46 million (using US$1=PhP48.5 conversion). Up was followed by action franchise G. I.
