It seems like Marian Rivera found her greatest rival in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemates as the reality show murdered both of her current shows last Sunday and Monday, January 3-4, 2009, based on AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila Survey. Daytime throne is still being occupied by Wowowee with 24.2%. Showtime and Nagsimula sa Puso share the no. 2 spot with 19.8%. In the primetime race, May Bukas Pa steals the lead from TV Patrol World. The inspirational drama series grabs a 34.4% TV rating while TV Patrol World got a 33.9%, slipping down to no. 2 spot. Dahil May Isang Ikaw is back on its feet again, reclaiming the no. 3 post with 33.2%... 

Now that Lovers in Paris isn’t around, Dahil May Isang Ikaw resurfaces  in the Top 5 most watched primetime programs in the Philippines. It scores 31.3% and now sits the no. 3 spot defeating another fellow Kapamilya show Katorse which slides to no. 4 spot with 30.8%. It’s official. An ABS-CBN program has finally dominated the Mega Manila ratings game. All it would take was a Melason fever to finally kick Darna out of the top spot. The top 3 programs last Monday, November 23, in Mega Manila were all Kapuso shows: Darna, 24 Oras, and Stairway to Heaven. But ABS-CBN Primetime Bida was slowly sneaking its way to primetime dominance with four of its shows beating its Kapuso rivals based on AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila survey. The score was 4-3 in favor of the Kapamilya Network. Katorse finally reclaimed timeslot leadership after scoring... 

Top 3 in the Daytime programming are 2 kapamilya shows and 1 kapuso show. Leading the pack is Wowowee with 21.4% followed by Nagsimula sa Puso on no. 2 spot with 17.5%. Completing the top 3 is the longest running noontime variety show in the Philippines Eat… Bulaga! with 15.9%. Primetime ratings is in favor of the Kapamilya shows, as Darna drops to no. 6 spot with 25.5% and switches places... 

Mega Manila ratings are still generally low. But as the metropolis and the suburbs slowly recover from the onslaught of Ondoy, Darna seems to pick herself up along with the rest of the victims. Darna flies back to the 30s zone, scoring 31.8%. ABS-CBN shows lost almost every battle in the primetime arena except for Katorse, which stole back timeslot dominance from Ikaw Sana.
