If you look at ABS-CBN’s ratings last Monday, you could think that the Kapamilya Network’s power begins to dawn on Mega Manila again. ABS-CBN Primetime Bida hit its highest since the Angel Locsin’s Darna triggered GMA7′s reign in the first half of this decade.

May Bukas Pa scored a whopping 36%, beating all hell out of Zorro with 28.7%.

Tayong Dalawa came in at no.2 with 34.4% putting Adik Sa ‘Yo to shame, which only managed to reach 23.1%.

Only You, garnering 33.2 %, seemed determined to embarrass Rosalinda with only 23.5%.

TV Patrol World completed the top 4 slots with 31.2%, defeating 24 Oras by a bit more than 1%.

ABS-CBN, however, fails to win the daytime block.

It seems like many waited for Kris Aquino’s very first interview on President Cory Aquino’s passing. The Buzz scored double Showbiz Central‘s last Sunday, August 2, 2009. The former leader’s daughter broke his silence and gave her showbiz talk show her first interview which led to The Buzz‘s staggering ratings.

The Friday before that, Tayong Dalawa once again dominated the ratings game. Tayong Dalawa registered 33.9%, the highest that day. May Bukas Pa and Zorro completed the top 3.

Santino and the rest of the cast of May Bukas Pa should be praying right now. May Bukas Pa once again succumbed to Zorro’s powers. ABS-CBN’s inspirational drama was inched out by 0.6% by the Richard Gutierrez starrer.

But the Kapamilya fans should not worry because the top spot remained in Tayong Dalawa‘s hands. The heavy drama starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson was the only program that was able to go beyond 30% last Thursday. Boys Over Flowers also rated better than All My Life.

24 Oras snatches voctory back from TV Patrol World while Hole in the Wall remained its time slot’s ruler.

ABS-CBN Primetime Bida almost swept Wednesday ratings game with May Bukas Pa (33.6%) rejoicing on top. The inspirational drama inched out the Richard Gutierrez-starrer Zorro by more than 3%. Tayong Dalawa came in at 2nd with 32.2%. Only You, which nears its ending, settles at the third spot with 30.9%.

The drama triumvirate of the Kapamilya network (May Bukas Pa, Only You, and Tayong Dalawa) have been making waves in the ratings game the past several weeks. Before this month, Kapamilya programs occupying the top 3 had not happened in years, since the glory of Mulawin, Darna and Encantadia.

But its not just the drama programs. Romantic comedy shows Boys Over Flowers and The Wedding also won their respective battles. Even consistent loser TV Patrol World had a rare chance of beating 24 Oras last Wednesday by almost 2%.

What got in the way was Showbiz News Ngayon‘s defeat. OC to the Max outperformed SNN by less than 1%. It could have been a sweep if not for that.

But the daytime block remained a Kapuso territory. GMA7 almost swept the daytime game, too. Hole in the Wall spoiled Love or Bread with a 6.4% lead. Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat Sa Akin also made Maria de Jesus praying for dear life. The sine novela posted a rating that was more than double that of the Latin series’. Sis trampled on Ruffa and Ai, too.

What curdled Kapuso’s almost perfect game in daytime was Edu Manzano’s Game KNB? which edged out La Lola by almost 1%.

GMA’s two Sine Novelas continuously dip deeper in the daytime program ratings list. Kung Agawin mo ang Lahat sa Akin again posted 13.3% and now sitting in the no. 8 position. While Ngayon at Kailanman suddenly plunged to no. 9 and suffered a 2.1% loss; it only posted a 12.8% rating. Ngayon at Kailanman ratings consistently fluctuate, it will be no big surprise if it won’t make it into the top 10 daytime program ratings again.

Boys Over Flowers is up again with 27% and gained a high lead against Zorro with 23.6%.

Tayong Dalawa dominated the AGB-Nielsen Mega Manila ratings yet again last Tuesday, July 28, 2009. The Kapamilya teleserye scored 32.7%, the highest that day.

On close second was Zorro with 32.4%. May Bukas Pa completed the top 3 with 31.5%.

Zorro and 24 Oras remain the only Kapuso programs that registered ratings above 30%. Rosalinda and Adik Sa ‘Yo only managed to hit 28.2% and 25.8% respectively.

Nearing its finale, Only You was able to reach 30% while The Wedding did not make it to pass the 20% mark, but still beat Cruel Love by a few decimals.

The daytime  block remained a Kapuso territory with Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin murdering Maria de Jesus. The sine novela scored 14% higher than its Latin American telenovela rival.

GMA-7 (Kapuso) shows won’t give up the fight for Primetime Supremacy just like that. Two of the Kapuso shows managed to grab the top 2 positions in the Mega Manila Ratings list for July 27, 2009. 24 Oras was able to hold on the no. 1 spot with a rating of 34.5% compared to its Kapamilya rival show TV Patrol World getting only a 28.8% rating. While Zorro got a share of 33.7% and was able to topple down May Bukas Pa with a 32.8% rating.

All My Life was consistently gaining audience, it posted a 26.8% keeping Boys Over Flowers on the unfertile soil. The koreanovela show only got a 21.2% tv rating.

Rosalinda was still on the losing ground in its primetime slot and continuously losing scent. It only got a 27.9% rating, compared to its 2 Kapamilya rival shows Tayong Dalawa and Only You which managed to get a 31.1% and 31% ratings respectively.

Even though the storyline was stretched too far alfready, Tayong Dalawa managed to keep its audiences gripping their seats last Friday, July 24, 2009, based on the Mega Manila ratings released by AGB-Nielsen. Tayong Dalawa topped the most-watched programs list for that day with 33.7%. Rival Adik Sa ‘Yo recorded 25.2%.

But it was not just Adik Sa ‘Yo. GMA7′s primetime block dropped below 30% in Mega Manila. The strongest Kapuso teleserye Zorro, topbilled by the now controversial Richard Gutierrez, fell to 27.6%, beaten by the inspirational drama May Bukas Pa with 30.4%, one of the two programs that hit the 30s mark that day.

Rosalinda and Fernando Jose have nothing to be happy about; their teleserye Rosalinda was deeper in the list with 25.6%. Only You registered a 28.3% rating.

Although it defeated TV Patrol World by more than 3%, 24 Oras was not able to reach the 30% bar either.

Saturday was a different story though. GMA 7 swept the entire day save for Cinema FPJ which edged out Wish Ko Lang by 1%.

Sunday was also a Kapuso Day. The only Kapamilya shows that rated higher than competition were Your Song and Sunday’s Best Presents The Michael Jackson Story. The rest were battles won by GMA7.

Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho and Mel and Joey ruled Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Rosalinda is up a notch with a 23.1% TV rating. From no. 8 it moved up to no. 7 position and now trailing behind Zorro with 24.2%, steady at no. 6 spot.

Boys Over Flowers managed to stay put at the fifth spot although its rating dipped to 25.9%. For the past few weeks Boys Over Flowers was a consistent 30% up ratings until Wednesday when it suddenly dropped.

May Bukas Pa is still the undisputed no. 1 prime time program from the Kapamilya network. Boasting a 42.5% tv rating. In the past few days its ratings increased consistently, blocking any competition from the fellow kapamilya prime time bida programs.

The battle for primetime supremacy in Mega Manila is tougher than ever. Last Tuesday (July 21), based on AGB Nielsen Media Research, Zorro swooshed his way to the top with 36.4%. Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco of 24 Oras were at a far second with 32.6%. ABS-CBN dramas Tayong Dalawa, Only You and May Bukas Pa completed the top 5.

Boys Over Flowers dropped below 20%, defeated by the Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal tandem of All My Life. Rosalinda was still too weak to perform with 28.6%
